LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

I would like to ask you not to allow the Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC) to move onto the Wood Middle School (WMS) campus. I believe this will lead to the facility eventually being given completely over to the charter school, making the evitable closure of WMS as a public school option for West End students.

Corrections to the Gun-Control Record

I was gratifi ed to read that your story on the petition to halt gun sales at Big 5 Sporting Goods ("Residents Petition Big 5 to Halt Gun Sales," Jan. 17) has started a healthy discussion about the use of weapons and gun control in our community.
