Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter continues to receive support from a variety of businesses and organizations hosting fundraising events on its behalf. This Saturday, Feb. 11, Citizen Canine will host "Wags-n-Wuv" at 420 Hegenberger Road in Oakland. The event features a Valentine dog costume contest, pet photos, products and services and more. The $5 admission benefits FAAS, East Bay SPCA and Golden Gate Basset Rescue. Then from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, City Manager John Russo will serve as celebrity bartender during Mojito Monday at Angela's Bistro & Bar, 2301 Central Ave. All the tips Russo receives will go to FAAS. |
