Alameda High School students recently collected $3,000 to help needy Alameda children have a happier holiday season. They voted to give the money to the Alameda Point Collaborative. The collaborative's executive director Doug Briggs, gratefully accepted the money. He said the collaborative would use it to buy toys for children who would otherwise not find anything under the Christmas tree.
