Inductees to the Encinal High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be honored during a celebration on Nov. 7, beginning at 6 p.m.

Inductees to the Encinal High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be honored during a celebration on Nov. 7, beginning at 6 p.m.

The newest members, chosen from the 2000 to 2010 decade, include Major League Baseball players Jimmie Rollins and Dontrelle Willis, and the first father and son inductees: Encinal High School Alumni President Sherman Lee, and his son, Michael Lee. Longtime coaches and educators Jim Marberry, George Reed, Joe King, and George Cadwell are new honored members. Student athlete graduates Trinity Davis, Bill Westernoff, Larry Wayne, Eric Shelton, Al Dewitt, Mike Bartell, Junior Taulalatasi, and Marvin White complete this distinguished group.

The celebration features no host walks through the newly restored and expanded Don Grant Inspirational "Jet Pride" EHS Hall of Fame viewing and display area, dinner and a presentation of new EHS Hall of Fame inductees and featured guest speakers.

The public is invited to the event which costs $40 per reservation ticket, available at the Encinal Gym area on the night of the celebration. A portion of the $40 is donated to help support Encinal High School athletic programs.

If you would like to be a sponsor for this EHS Hall of Fame event and/or other activities for Encinal High School athletic programs, contact the Encinal High School Athletic Hall of Fame at 523-2393 or 925-449-1449.
