BSA Troop 89 celebrates its newest Eagle Scouts Cole Ashcraft and Jan Fejt.

Both scouts completed their vigorous requirements of earning 21 merit badges, advanced youth leadership and extensive community service in 2009 and were honored at a recent National Court of Honor. Troop 89 was chartered in 1965 and has since presented almost 70 Eagle badges, scouting's top youth award.

Troop 89 is sponsored by the Alameda Kiwanis Club and meets at Lum School on Tuesday evenings.
