Artist Thelma Richard and photographer Anne Ross will exhibit their work at the Alameda Free Library, 1550 Park St. through Saturday, Aug. 27.

Richard's paintings will be on display on the second floor of the library. Ross's photographs will hang in the Regina K. Stafford meeting rooms.

Richard uses large canvases as a venue to express the meaning of her subjects, colors and message Ross's work evolved to become more suggestive, multi-layered and abstract. She blends old and new technology, scanning film negatives, cyanotypes and lumen prints to create her work.
