This weekend's Pilgrim Soul Forge Craft Fair at Alameda Point will celebrate traditional crafts and skills. Hear the roar of the forge and the ring of the anvil as Grant Marcoux demonstrates his blacksmithing skills.

Hue Yang will work with ceramics; Sue Laing with felting; and Susan Tuttle with jewelry. Birgitt Evans will have her handcrafted soap-and-skin-care products available and Karri her hand-sewn bags. Terri Henderson will showcase his fused-glass skills and kayak-builder Wolf Brinck will be on hand.

The fair will take place this Saturday, Aug. 20, from noon to 6 p.m. at 100 West Tower Ave. Alameda Backyard Growers will also be there to discuss urban farming.

Alameda's own Grupo Zunzun will entertain fairgoers with Latin jazz.
