Jazz saxophonist Anton Schwartz will perform Sept. 24 at the Main Library as part of this year's Live@theLibrary concert series.

Alameda's popular Live@theLibrary concert series returns for its third season on Saturday, Sept. 24 with jazz saxophonist and composer Anton Schwartz. Schwartz will perform with a small group of jazz artists including Grant Levin on piano, John Wiitala on bass and Greg Wyser-Pratte on drums.

Wesla Whitfield and Mike Greensill will perform on Saturday, Oct. 22. Amanda King, a classic chanteuse who performs little-known gems from the 1930s and 1940s, will appear on Saturday, Nov. 19.

Tickets are available at Books Inc., Dewey's Friends Café at the Alameda Main Library and online at www. brownpapertickets.com. Doors open at 7 p.m., concerts start at 8 p.m. Light refreshments including wine, coffee and light desserts will be available in Dewey's Friends Café. Tickets are $75 for the three-concert series and $30 for each individual concert. The concerts usually sell out, so it's best to buy tickets ahead of time.
