Last year's wildly popular Big Fat Year-end Kiss-Off Comedy Show XIX featuring comedian Will Durst and his troupe of jokesters will return again this year for New Year's Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31 at Rhythmix Cultural Works, 2513 Blanding Ave. Two showings are scheduled for 7 and 10 p.m. Political satirist Will Durst, Bay Area favorite Johnny Steele, and other special guests including Mari Magaloni, Michael Bossier and Debi Durst will welcome 2012 while skewering the major news events of 2011. Bar drinks and concessions will be available during both shows. The early show costs $30; the late show costs $40 for the late show and includes free glass of champagne and an interactive balloon drop at midnight. The man New York Times calls, "possibly the best political comic in the country," Durst is a fivetime Emmy nominee and recipient of seven consecutive nominations for the American Comedy Awards Stand Up of the Year, among many other accomplishments.
