Sales and leadership trainer will give insight to running a business at next monthly meeting

In Heidi BK Sloss's book, Fortune is in the Follow-up, Sloss states the obvious: Go back to the common sense business marketing basics and keep it genuine.

Sloss gives her readers a refreshingly easy way to think about sales, marketing and advertising, while supplying an organized perspective on how to accomplish the enormous needs of busy small-business owners.

Business owners feeling there should be more than 24 hours in a day to meet all the tasks their business demands will find this book a must-have. The book includes Sloss's simple, small steps on a daily basis, which will turn an overwhelming marketing project into a matter-offact procedure of enjoyable new growth for the business owner.

The Greater Alameda Business Association (GABA) will present Sloss at its monthly event, a mixer at the Gold Coast Bar & Grill, 1901 Park St., Saturday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $45 and includes a copy of the book.
