| Walnut Street Lagoon Wall Up for Discussion |

The city will be holding an informational community meeting to discuss the proposed replacement of the lagoon wall at the end of Walnut Street. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 29, in the city hall council chambers, 2263 Santa Clara Ave. The project includes installing a sheet pile wall to stabilize the land during construction and to allow the contractor to demolish the existing wall. It also includes pouring concrete piers and building a new concrete wall. The anticipated construction is scheduled to begin mid-June and should be completed by the end of August 2012.
