The All-American Pappas, an Alameda native who captured third place at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, did not qualify for the finals in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Olympic trials on Monday, June 25 in Eugune Ore. Pappas finished 12th in the first heat and 23rd overall, with a time of 10:17.09.

Pappas graduated from Bishop O'Dowd High School where she lettered in cross country and track and field for three years and soccer for two.
