On Sunday Jan. 8, Team Alameda is kicking off the New Year with a steady-paced ride that everyone loves: "To the Hornet and Back." There will also be a special shopping opportunity on the base at the All City Moving & Storage's "Dead Storage Sale." Bring your bike to the Kaiser Steps, 2417 Central Ave. (near Park Street). Don't forget your helmet, a snack, water, sun block and gloves.
