Courtesy photo February charm winner Diane Hughes Alameda Women's Golf Club's Charm Day event last Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Jack Clark Course belonged to Diane Hughes who shot a low net 66 to win the club's charm for the month of February. Jenny Bae came in first place among first-flight golfers — 9.7 to 20.5 handicap — with a net 70. Stephanie Bellato came in second and Sia Scates took third with net scores of 71 and 72 respectively. Yvonne Lee and Holly Cromer tied for first place in the second flight bracket — handicap 21.5 to 25.4 — with a net 69. Third place went to Barbara Mickle with a net 74. Bobbie Hoepner was the winner in the third flight bracket — 25.7 to 29.9 handicap — with a net 68. Louise Eilhardt came in second with a net 72. Dee Dee Appleton won the closet to the hole competition on the seventh hole, shooting 3'8" away from the pin. Yvonne Lee won the same competition on the 16th hole, shooting 10'5" away from the pin. Bae's strong performance gave her the distinction of the low putts winner of the event with 29 putts and low gross of the event with a gross of 82, which she shared with Bellato. |
