Two productions of the 42nd annual musical song and dance extravaganza by Alameda-based West Coast Dance (WCD) is set for this weekend, Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. Dance to the Music presents a cavalcade of fluorescent colors, pop tunes, and funky fancy footwork.
The annual music festival for Otis Elementary School will be live-streamed this Saturday, Feb. 28. The Owlpalooza is a product of the Otis PTA and features bands: Maddy’s Fiddle Madness, Paisley Rose, The Up and Down, Ukemamas, The Saloons and the Jitters.

Alameda artist Katherine Meyer will display a collection of her charcoal drawings called Finding Your Place at the Morris Graves Museum of Art (MGMA) in Eureka, Calif. Some of the drawings take their inspiration from views here in Alameda, where Meyer lives.
