The Alameda Education Foundation (AEF) announced the launch of its annual “Equipped 4 Success” school supply drive earlier this week. The drive supports low-income Alameda students by providing them with new backpacks and quality school supplies.
The annual Jack Capon awards are presented in honor of Jack Capon, a long-time Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) educator who specialized in physical education. Capon tirelessly advocated for physical fitness and movement.

Marnell Xavier’s West Coast Dance Theatre (WCDT) is now preparing for its 46th annual musical song and dance productions, “Dance to the Music.” Two different productions on two different days, but both are a cavalcade of fluorescent colors, pop tunes and funky, fancy footwork.
