4-Way Stops Set for Busy Corner

The Public Works Department will install new all-way stop signs at the intersection of Santa Clara Avenue and Willow Street this month. The work is expected to be completed no later than the end of October.

Public Works advises that motorists will require an adjustment period. According to the city, people who drive down Santa Clara regularly (or even rarely) have a mental snapshot of how the intersection looks without the stop signs.

“It will take drivers some time to notice the new stop signs, remember the new stop signs and change their behavior,” stated a city press release. “The city advises continued caution while navigating this area and all roadways.”
