Alameda Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspects
Alameda Police Department (APD) is searching for two suspects who took part in an armed robbery in which one of the suspects fired a gunshot inside a store on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
According to APD reports, two suspects, a male and female, confronted a male customer inside a business on the 1700 block of Park Street around 6:30 p.m. During the exchange, the male suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the customer’s property. The customer and suspect struggled over the weapon and the weapon was discharged. The male and female fled the scene with the victim’s belongings.
The customer, nor any of the other patrons, was shot during the incident. Police released surveillance footage photos of the two suspects from inside the business.
The male suspect is hard to identify as he wore a black sweat suit and a mask. However, the female suspect had a large teddy bear tattoo on her left thigh. APD would not release the name of the victim or the business. It is unknown what the suspects took from the victim.
