Alameda Restaurant Week is Here

After a postponement, Alameda Restaurant Week will begin Friday, March 25 and run for ten days through Sunday, April 3.

This is the fifth time the city is holding Restaurant Week. The past two years have been difficult, but bars and restaurants are reopened and can’t wait to showcase what they do best. This annual event drives residents and visitors, foodies and families, to visit their favorite establishments and try something new — all with the goal of supporting Alameda’s small businesses.

Participating businesses will offer special menus for diners to enjoy. With more than 40 participating restaurants, bars, breweries, and wineries, it will be a great opportunity to try a location, dish, or drink around the city that you’ve never had before. The scheduling will coincide with similar events held in Oakland and Berkeley.

Alameda has many popular Michelin recommended and Zagat-rated dining and drinking establishments. Over ten days patrons are invited to visit as many establishments as they can. The event was supposed to kick off on Friday, Jan. 14 and run until Sunday, Jan. 23. However, the postponement was due to the rise in COVID-19 cases and the resulting staffing shortages for many dining establishments.
