Everyone loves the Alameda Theater, an Art Deco movie palace with beautifully restored exterior, lobby, and auditorium.

No one loves trying to find a parking space in a crowded lot. So, to guarantee your happiness, be sure to bike there or anywhere you go in our business districts. The theatre is an essential anchor to our pedestrian-oriented Park Street Business District, drawing hundreds of people who enjoy the movies and then enjoy the variety of places nearby to eat, shop, and stroll. There are plenty of bike racks across from the theatre for your convenience.

The Alameda Theatre staff celebrates it’s own love of biking on Sunday, May 11, by offering “Bike to the Movies Day” with discounts on tickets (except 3-D movies) and refreshment deals on shows starting between 1 and 2:30 p.m. that day. A friendly Bike Walk Alameda volunteer will meet you out front with a voucher. Ride in and enjoy!
