Firefighter’s turned off the natural gas service to the residence, ventilated the area and called for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E) to inspect the gas fittings.

Fire responses: 10:41 a.m. 2200 block of San Antonio Avenue, residential natural-gas odor investigation. Firefighters found no hazardous gas present in the home, but called for PG&E to respond to inspect gas fittings inside the residence. The scene was turned over to PG&E crewmembers when they arrived. 3:15 p.m. 300 block of Westline Drive, burned food on the stove with no fire. Firefighters ventilated the residence and reset the building’s fire alarm.

Fire responses: 4:01 a.m. 1500 block of Park Street, commercial stove fire that was out when firefighters arrives. Firefighters turned off the power and gas to the stove and ventilated residual smoke from the property. 12:55 p.m. Marina Village Parkway; citizen assist; 10:57 p.m. 3300 block of Fir Avenue, outside parked vehicle fire. Firefighters found the vehicle’s engine compartment and interior fully engulfed in flames. They used a pre-connected foam hose line to extinguish the fire. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
