Gallery ‘Transforms’ this Month

On display now through Dec. 21 in the Frank Bette Center for the Arts’ (FBCA) Main Gallery, the exhibition Transformation features local artists expressing themselves on the theme of change. An opening reception for the artists will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11.

Discuss how the artists tackled the concepts of: alter, remake, reconstruct, metamorphosis, shift, adjust, Photoshop or distort.

The event also celebrates Smoke and Ash, the new exhibition in the FBCA Signature Gallery. The works by Kitty Muntzel and Janet Conery are reflections on the California fires in paper, wood and fiber and will be on display through Nov. 2.

FBCA is located at 1601 Paru St. For more information, call 523-6957 or visit www.frankbettecenter.org.
