Help Alameda Kids Be Equipped for Success
The Alameda Education Foundation (AEF) and its community partners are working to eliminate the struggle of poverty that some Alameda families may face. The annual “Equipped 4 Success” school supple drive provides students with the necessary tools to learn such as quality new backpacks and school supplies. Members of the community may support the drive by making financial donations online at www.AlamedaEducation.org or by mailing checks to AEF, PO Box 1363, Alameda, CA 94502.
AEF’s community partners include including the McKinney-Vento homeless program of the Alameda Unified School District; the Alameda Collaborative for Children, Youth and their Families; the Alameda Boys and Girls Club; the Alameda Point Collaborative; Alameda Head Start; Dream Catchers Youth Services; Girls Inc. of the Island City; and, new this year, Operation Dignity.
Donors are also invited to shop for specific items needed at the drive online at roonga.com/equipped4success until Friday, July 21. Any donations of accepted items are appreciated until Friday, Aug. 4, at all Alameda fire stations.
