Mark and Kathryn Hopping of the Main Island were recently in Spain where they took a moment to read the Alameda Sun while visiting the Royal Palace of Madrid. The palace has 1.4 million square feet of floor space and contains 3,418 rooms. Although it is the official residence of the Spanish royal family at the city of Madrid, it is only used for state ceremonies.
