Resolution Declaring Racism a Public Health Emergency
Alameda residents helped fellow Alamedan Fredrick Alexander clean graffiti off his two vehicles after someone spray painted “ALM” (All Lives Matter) on it. Alexander, a Black male, noticed the vandalism to his vehicles Sunday, June 28, on Otis Drive.
Jef St. George sent in this photograph, one of the many he took on the evening of June 5, when Alamedans organized a dance party and car parade to support Black Lives Matter. “I’m so proud of my town right now,” wrote St. George.
We convey the Alameda experience, both past and present, through an informative, financially viable community newspaper, in print and online.
