Alameda native Cooper Teare used a strong finish down the final stretch to win the men’s 1,500-meter race at the U.S. Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday, June 25 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

St. Joseph Notre Dame High School (SJND) alum Cooper Teare was a member of a four-person relay team that broke a 12-year National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) record last weekend at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
